I had a hell load of problem with this move as well when I first started.
You seem like you are failing for a couple of reasons.
1. Your catching hand is too slow. The card bounced off your hand then you clamped. You shot the next time and your hand was still closed.
2. It is fully a pinky move. Dont use the other hands and get them out of the way.
3. the thumb and the index finger are meant to clamp the deck on the top edge. If you are just resting them on the side, it wont work.
4. its meant to spin, not flutter around.

practice. Its a nackish sorta move.

thats not too bad

youve got the idea right i was doing that and i still am i dont get how to mamke the card not fall down as fast so i just put my hand underneath to catch it.

the card
should flip face up and spin clockwise into your hand. to catch you clamp down hard.
clamp the top of the deck,
only use the pinky
the pinky shoots from the most bottom edge of the bottom right corner.
