Magic Art

Hey guys,

Hey guys,

Recently for school, everyone was to make a piece of art to represent yourself. I, of course, based mine off magic. When I was planning it about a month ago, I came to the conclusion that all of my hobbies had to do with me wanting to amaze people, so I based my project around that.

So what my project is is a 24 by 24 canvas, with a sort of thick frame. The frame is filled with cards, some face down and some face up, scattered everywhere. I used a red bicycle and a blue bicycle deck. Then in the middle there is an orange flap(the flap representing my soccer team). When you lift up the flap you are AMAZED as you see a detailed spade with and eagle in it. (From shadow masters)

What I was trying to do was to paint a false picture in the persons mind, making them make an assumption of what is inside. Then when they lift it, they're amazed because they think something inside will be messy and clattered, like the card border.

So yeah.. here are the pictures

Any constructive criticism?

That's pretty good.

One thing that would have been cool though is if you had made the orange cover, the same as the rest of the canvas. As in, you made it the same color/design, etc, but you still kept the flap so that when it opens, you get the Shadow Masters Ace.

Oh so you mean just painting the whole canvas orange?
