I just got me a new kindle fire today and it got me wondering if there were any good magic books in the amazon store. I thought to search them, but then couldn't think of any specific books to search for. Any suggestions? Also, I know lybrary.com is known for selling magic e-books. Would those work fine on the kindle?

Most of the Magic ebooks that are out right now are mainly in the PDF format, which would work fine with the Kindle Fire. Lybrary.com has the basic selection up for grabs such as Tarbell, Royal Road, ect. They do have the Jinx and the Fitzkee Trilogy though.

Personally, I have found that scanning them onto my computer and putting them in my Kindle to be the best, but it is time consuming. But at the same time, I will spend about an hour reading five pages, so it really depends on what you want out of it.

Other than that, there really isn't much that you can grab from Amazon at this moment, but I am sure that it will get there eventually.

Lybrary.com has a great selection of .pdf. Like Redi said, they have Tarbell, Annemann, Hugard, Bobo, Fitzke, Scarne, Giobbi and lots more.

Another great .pdf is Card Magic USA. It has a ton a great material in it from Lee Asher, John Bannon, Marc DeSouza, Nate Kranzo, Max Maven Michael Webber, Caleb Wiles and more.

Vanishing Inc. has a bunch of e-books too, but beware many are one effect books and you might not get as much value for the $$$ as with some of the classics from Lybrary.com.

You'll love the Fitzkee books, but keep in mind that his word is not the gospel and he was also writing in a different time period from current days. Although, practically everything he writes about is fairly accurate and makes for some very good, quick reading.

So true, and as much as people say that you have to not take this specific series as doctrine, I always laugh. This is true with most magic books, because no one really got it perfect. People just call these books out because they pretty much say that most magicians suck, and no one likes that idea. But I promise, if you pick up most books, you will find that the things presented are not always true. (I don't mean this post to be controversial, I just wanted to throw in my two cents and I believe that Rick hit the nail on the head with his post).

I'm pretty certain my books via Amazon are Kindle ready, it's part of a promo deal through Lulu so most any author working with that promotion should be available. You may want to double check with Lulu about the Spotlight promotion however.
