Magic last night

Normally I wouldn't make a thread like this but I felt it deserved one. I've performed for all kinds of people over the years but last night was a special night for me and I wanted to share it with you guys.

I was performing at the club I work at to these two guys that where there for poker night. They where so impressed they took me into the VIP lounge and said they had some friends they wanted me to perform for. I said I was cool with that and when I went in there I discovered it was a private party for the Texas Rangers. Now I'm from Texas so this hit home for me. I ended up performing for Juaqine Benoit and Hank Blalock and some of the other guys on the team. By the time I was finished I had handed out my business cards and explained I do private parties for hire and they all seem very interested. So this was a big excitment for me last night I just wanted to share that with you guys.

Congratulations :)

I like reading these stories. Ot kinda gets me inspired to do make some progress myself. It's nice to see how fellow magicians are doing and it's better to see that they are indeed doing well.

Do you mind me asking what were the tricks that you performed that got you into the VIP lounge and what tricks you performed at the private party?

I started off with Paul Harris Invisible Palm for the gamblers, then David Stones French Kiss, then followed with DG's Personal Safe , then I believe I went straight into my color changing knifes routine and finished with my modified biddle trick and reset finish.

For the Rangers I performed 2cm (of course), one of my personal card to spectators pocket routines, 3 fly to a complete coin vanish, some other effects and I actually finished with a impromtu effect I just made up on the spot with Benoit. I just happened to have the 10 of diamonds fallen pips gaff card with me and I made some one liners of the pitchers shaking it off when their under pressure and as he shook he freely chosen 10D (haha) he visually shook the pips off the card and then I changed it back of course.

I wing my stuff sometimes it makes me more comfortable that way.

I appreciate the support guys. By the way they loved some of my D&D flourishes.

- My own variation of the Biddle Trick
- DG's Personal Safe
- 3 fly
- My Color changing knifes Routine
- Box Monster
- David Stone's French Kiss
- My card to spectators pocket routine
- Gerry Griffin's Out of Control Queens
- Stigmata
- Omni Deck
- My card thru box routine
- Some Loop tricks

Just to name a few I was working for about 2 hours there. I started with DG's White & Wheat and Invisible Palm for the gambler's early in the evening that started the ball rolling.
