Any live performances of tricks? (I'm beginning to notice this is very important...it's nice to see people's reaction to a trick!)

i've not watched the easy to master series, but i know his writing is clear and concise, and he has been held in high acclaim for his teaching in the past.
he is not massively energetic, but his passion for what he teaches really comes through in his presentation, and he is very good at 'encouraging the wonder', so to speak.

C!

In the Middle.
Teaching
Second to none imo, he teaches and then has a feature where he shows everything in slow motion for you to follow along.

I started out years ago with the Ammar series (back when it was on VHS!), but I can't help wondering if it all seems a bit dated now?

Maybe I'm just falling into the trap of thinking with the Magician's Brain instead of the Spectator's Brain, but put anything on the Ammar tapes next to any Lee Asher/Daniel Ortiz/etc DVDs and the latter just seem so much more modern.

Is it just me?

That's not to say they're not worth buying! They are! The effects are just different.
