My 3 Fly(ish). What do you think?

This "3 Fly" routine is, as far as I know, an original handling that I came up with a while ago. I'm rather new to coin magic, though, oddly enough I started with coins, but then found cards to be more fun. I'm open to any tips you may have and would certainly like to improve.

I know this would be better with bigger coins because you could see them, but I don't have any larger coins at the moment.

Do I look terribly awkward? I watched this video again and realized 2 things: First, a man with no neck or head is a strange sight, and second, my elbows flying around like they are look rather awkward, to me at least.

what part of that do you think to be original?

Yes your elbows look awkward, but 3fly is a standing effect, so they should. Winged silver is the traditional seated coins across, I believe the blue crown has a download of that effect.

Mainly the handling. I was just thinking about 3 fly plots and came up with this, I know none of the sleights are original, just the sequence might be. If someone else has done this sequence before I'm happy to give them credit.

Gotcha. I was going to say, those sleights are pretty standard. As for the sequence, not really, there's not a whole ton of ways to do a 3 coins only 3fly, there are just different types of shuttle passes, friction moves etc. So the best way to come up with an original 3fly is to invent your own move to use in place of one of the standard moves.

Sure, just don't tell anyone how it works! lol Feel free to use this, I'm all for helping fellow magicians add stuff to their bag of tricks.

Thats a nice coins across routine. Well put together. I like the shuttle pass you use for the second coin. Three fly routines are done at the fingertips rather than in the palms of the hand, just so you know. This is a more standard coins across.

Patter can be hard to work out for a routine, especially a 3fly, but with how quick a normal 3fly routine can be, it might be good to come up with a stronger plot. I would be a rich man if I had a dime for every time I heard, "Now if I just squeeze here, sometimes I can get one to..." So, I like the sleights and I think it has good potential, just try to practice practice practice and really throw some strong and interesting patter into it. Something that has real world meaning that can really catch your spectators as much as the magic will. Remember, as a magician, you are selling the trick to your audience. Try to get them to buy it for the full price.

I hope this helps and you take it into consideration.

I like the handling as well.

However, think about what motivates you to bring your hands together. I like the sleights themselves, but I felt as though you had no reason to bring your hands together before the the 2nd and 3rd coins go across. This tipped me that you were doing something sneaky.

If you can't find a way to motivate your hands coming together, I would say try and make the handling look more natural.

However, I really like the sequence, and you did a great job.
