My definition: 909

Hi all,

Bicycle Centurions 909 edition have been released. But what does 909 mean? Discuss what you think here!

My definition on 909: As you all know, all regular bicycle cards have 808 on several cards, like the jokers. From what I have heard, 808 is the road sign where the joker is riding. I guess 909 means a new a new generation of cards.

All playing cards have a number, well at least the USPC ones.
Bikes are 808, steamboats are 999, tallys are 9, etc.

909 refers to the stock, I believe.

Jakeh is close. the numbers, I believe, are reffering to the brand/back design. Because guardian backls are the 808's, bnecause otherwise they would have a design patent flaw. but the centurions are a totally new back design and cannot be released under the 808 license....I think....

808 isn't JUST Guardians... in fact ALL bikes are 808.. I think calling them 909 is like saying "the next step" kind of like what T11 stands for..

808 is also a Hawaiian area code.. 909 is California.. irrelevant but info..

I think.... it's a way to hype up the cards and get more sales from them out of curiosity.

909 is accualy an old roman number for apocalypse, well at least in their mythology. They believed that 909 dead warriors are gonna rise on 909th day of 909 year a.c. But fortunetly that didnt happen because one year have only 365 days, so they sucked at math. Anyways, it was like a big number for them (something like 666 in the bible). So their batteries of soldiers counted 908 warriors and 1 Centurion, witch equals 909.

I could go on like this for a while, and offcourse it's all bull****, i have no idea what would 909 stand for...
