Name this deck?

Hi,

I registered on the forum because I saw card trick that i have never seen before, nor can I find it online.

The magician asks a spectator to name any card. She names a card and then the magician takes the deck (which the spectator was holding) opens it up, takes the cards out, spreads them out and all the cards are face down except one, the spectators named card. He then lifts up the fan and shows the spectator all the cards are actually blank except the chosen card.

Any ideas guys. I know it's similar to the invisible deck.

Thanks

Jon

I do what I can.

So out of curiosity, you're saying that you registered in hopes that someone would reveal the secret to a trick?

No, not at all. Just need to know the name of the deck/trick so I can go purchase it for myself.

I will find the video I watched. Might be more clear.

I already know the trick you're referring to as well as the deck you need.

The thing is, we often have people join, just to get secrets. You may find it difficult to get an answer.

While you may find someone here that won't have a problem revealing this specific effect, I'm personally one that guards secrets like these because its tradition to guard them until the person has shown at least a bit of effort of doing the same and a strong interest in magic (more than just how a certain trick is done).

I will tell you this much however...

I can tell that if you're genuinely interest in magic, you're just starting out and that's awesome. However, what you're looking for is actually pretty common and can be found with just a little bit of research in the right direction.

Yeh I understand what you are saying.

I am not a profession by any means but I am card magic enthusiast and have been into card magic for around 12 months.

I feel a little embarrassed that I don't know this gimmick and everyone here says it's well known

I did have a look online but couldn't quite find the exact trick.

I'm guessing the effect is Erazer 2.0 by Adrian Gower. I have no problem telling you this because you will have to purchase the effect to learn it. There are some YouTube Videos of performances by Adrian and by Chris Ballenger (Magic Geek videos now hosted by Vanishing, Inc.).

Other full deck effects using blank cards:

Craig Petty's Wipeout (on his Blank DVD but will need a blank deck)
Dean Dill's Blizzard
Anthony Miller and Magick Balay's Colossal Blizzard 2.0
Caleb Wiles' Holy Blank
