My name is Matt and I too, am a cardahlolic. Don't say it like it's a bad thing, though- there are worse things you can spend your time on. Although, I've never spent 19 and a half consceutive hours practicing with a deck of cards... The most I've ever practiced with cards is maybe about 4 consecutive hours. I would try to set aside time where you don't have work, school, homework, or any other thing you have to do, and spend that time practicing with cards.

It's alright to sit down for a couple of hours and work on a sleight or two,
but don't let it control your life...

When you do something you enjoy (playing with cards) it releases endorphins in your brain. Endorphins are a biochemical compound that produce a sense of well being or happiness. If something makes you happy you want to keep doing it. Cards make you happy so you want to keep playing with them. If you do your homework and after use cards as a reward eventually you will associate the two behaviors and want to do both.
I learned this by doing psychology homework while I was in school. And when you're finally done with school you can play as much as you want or even make it your job!

Cheers!

No, I'm not necessarily addicted, but I do love them a lot. Everytime I go to Wal-Mart of Target or someplace else with cards, I buy a deck... it's sad, really.

Alright.... I'm gonna break out the 12 step system.....

Anyway. :) Yeah, I love having cards in my hands. It's like crack.... but for your hands. ;) If I have a chance in school to take out a deck just to have it it in my hands I will.

I guess I never realized I was addicted. I play with them at lunch, before classes start at school, on the bus, and pretty much all night. I need an intervention...

Hi, my name is Zac, and I am a card addict. it is really sad for me. just to look at a deck feeds part of my addiction. everytime i walk into a store with decks of cards, whether its wal-mart, costco, or what else, i have to go look at them and/or buy them!

I am ..:Z:.. and I am a card magic attic.

One thing I really, really love about this craft is that you can have a ton of fun playing with your tools and showcasing them to other people!!!

Hi, I'm Tyler and I'm a card addict. (lol)

I have tons of decks because I buy tons. Whenever I go into a store, the usual comment out of my mouth is, "I wonder if they carry cards here?". Then I look around trying to find them. I'm glad my girlfriend understands.

She's the only thing I like more than cards! Everything else, falls below my cards. She's also my tester. I also play with my cards when I'm alone throughout the day and the night. *cries* I don't want an intervention!

Hi, I'm Sam, and I'm a card addict.
I play with cards everywhere. When I wake up, when I get to school, in the middle of lessons, at lunch, at the end of school. It's just the way you can pick up a deck of cards, and perform miracles at will. :D

Hi. I'm Joe. I'm not a card addict. I can quit whenever I want to! And I just don't want to!

OK, I'm still in the denial phase.

I stay up way too late practicing and playing with cards. I have a pathological need to have a deck on me wherever I go. Thank God my fiancee understands why I have to check the games section any time we go to a retail store. In fact, she bought me my first deck of Guardians.

I'm also a collector, so I spend a lot of time resisting the high prices of allegedly rare decks. Instead, my collection is filled with canceled decks from different casinos and touristy places. I also have some vintage Bikes, classic Hoyles and others.

Odd behaviors include taking a practice deck with me to the bathroom and practicing double lifts while on the toilet. What a perfect time to practice. You're just sittin' there... do some Shapeshifters and Charliers!

help me!

Hi, I'm Tyler, and I'm a card addict. I always have them out during class, between classes, and any other time of the day. If I don't have them for a certain amout of time each day, I start to hyperventilate and become hysteric. Sometimes I pass out for short periods of time, and begin to shake. I'm a card addict, and I think that I need serious help.
