New trick idea: Print

I'm pretty new to T11 so im not so sure how to post right so i hope this works

Ive been working with some new tricks lately, and actually have been trying to create some myelf. I dont have a video yet (hope to have one up by friday) but its pretty much the spec picks a card, signs it (or not) they shuffle it back in (yes they), and you ask them to put there thumb on an ink pad and place a thumbprint on the top card of the deck. They remove their thumb to find the number and suit of the card smashed into the thumprint. Then the card is turned over to be their signed card.

If you have any tips on this i would really enjoy them, or if youve heard of something like this before. I havnt but i dont want to copy. Plz help me out. And like i said, i hope to have a video by friday. Thnx for your help :D

Hey bro. If the specs card is on top, you should perform a double lift before the finger print to show it isn't their card. After that have them make the print and shuffle it in, or not. Reveal. Just a thought.

I have seen a very similar mentalism effect where a spectator names an esp symbol or somthing like that. You then press your thumb on an ink pad and push your thumb on a piece of paper and it shows your thumb print but there is a large white area that makes out the shape of what they thought of. Yours is some what similar but the method must be different because with this one the spectator can't use their thumb. Sounds pretty clever though, I hope to see it soon this friday. ;) Send me the link when it's posted.

Have you considered using this as a climax in a CSI routine? There's so much you can perform with it as part of a small show.

Off the top of my head, a Living & Dead Test using Clue characters instead of real names as the intro would be cool.

As an alternative revelation, have you looked into Jay Sankey's DVD Anytime, Anywhere? There's an effect there called Magnetic in which you draw a magnet on the back of a card and use that to "pull" a selected card to the top of the deck several times until miraculously the magnet pulls the selection up so hard that the drawing ends up on the selection itself. Just substitute the magnet with the fingerprint.
