i think it definitely has potential
but as stated on youtube, there is no purpose for the jack...maybe if your patter went more along the lines of the jack "finding your original card" or something like that. But the trick itself, i believe has potential...keep working on the presentation, and maybe make the moves more fluid? just some thoughts. Hope this helped!

He claims it's a variation of another effect, I expect the one you linked to, he should have credited it but I suspect it's more of a misunderstanding than intentional theft.
