After trying some moves of the gimmick, I find that the secret/mechanism is causing the misalignment.

Did I receive a defective ring? Because some moves really rely on this.

No all the rings are this way so you did not receive a defective unit.

Calen teaches you how to cover this in the video. Hide the misaligment in between your fingers so your spectator can't see it. The "secret stuff" that makes this work isn't that strong so there is going to be an alignment issue. I recommend performing in dimly lit areas and at a distance to help cover this even better.

Thanks. Placing the gimmick onto the middle finger isn't the main problem. The main issue is the alignment after the transposition.

Ah yes I know what you mean! That can be quite frustrating. Just be sure that the misalignment is facing your body when you do transpositions to your thumb. If it's not directly facing you, try to snatch the ring off your thumb as fast as possible. Most people won't be looking for anything if you can catch them by surprise so you should have enough time to cover.

I have read another post about you trying to fix the gimmick with superglue.
Have you managed to find a better way to do it?
