What are all of the different types of passes you know? I know the classic pass the herman pass and the turn over pass. I don't care how easy or hard!

When you say "know", do you mean "know of", or "can perform"? I know of about two hundred different shift variants, I can execute maybe fifty or so to some extent, but the ones that I would consider using in front of people are:

1. Classic pass (various handlings: riffle, dribble, etc.)
2. Herrmann/Hofzinser pass (various handlings: turnover, Midnight Shift, etc.)
3. Erdnase Shift, One Hand (I haven't been able to get the two-handed version to look natural so far)
4. SWE Shift
5. Longitudinal Shift (both handlings)
6. Open Shift (both handlings)
7. Charlier Pass
8. Hoffman/Sachs one-hand shift (not its real name, but it's taught in Modern Magic and Sleight of Hand so I call it that as it doesn't have another name, as far as I know)

When I say "know", I am referring to the shifts/ passes that I do continuously and most effectively. The shifts that I "know of" include, but are nowhere confined to, the text sources found in my private library. Like you said, there are thousands of ways to accomplish the pass, but I've just listed the ones that I've found most effective for my style and environment.

I don't use the pass in performance usually. There are easier and more efficient ways to control a card.

The passes I can do well are the classic pass, which I never use variants for, and the Hermann pass, which I have a couple variations of. The spread pass, a type of turnover pass I do (It's somewhat an amalgam of a couple types of pass I stumbled onto), etc. Most of them are things I've come up with on my own, but which have also probably been invented by many others.

My question is - what is the goal of this thread? Are you just looking for more passes to look into? Or do you really like lists?
