As for the Buck's patter, they don't do much in the way of giving you any (on the DVD's at least, they could perform it differently in real life).
It depends on your style for what you'll say.
Take Subway. The name implies one of two things. The first is, sandwich...you buy it at subway. The other is that a card traveling through a subway that is invisible from one 'station (or stop)' to the other.
I was using this concept with a different handling to end a sandwich routine, so the patter fit nicely into 'How about this, I'll put your card in this half of the deck and the two Aces face up in this half. If I just push your card in over here...'
Again-Your style dictates everything, video yourself doing the routines (or watch them without any sound) and see what comes to mind as you watch it. What type of patter could you find yourself saying?
Just a few thoughts, asking for patter is like asking for a script to memorize...even if I toss a few ideas out, you'll need to put your own mind to work in the end.
Sorry if it seems rough, but creating your own scripts and patter is something you'll eventually have to do (if you ever create your own effect) and it's good practice to adapt other peoples effects into your style or personality.
If I knew more about you, maybe I could help fit something into who you are and what you could relate too...but other than magic, we're probably too different to like similar ideas on patter...:-\
