Hello,

I like many of the other members here at the T11 forums are extremely happy with the products and progress that this website is making. Not only is it run by 11 of the most amazing people in the magic society, but regular joe schmoes, like myself, can truly feel at home here.

I, like many others here, have posed our opinions on the various items being sold here and (for the most part) we like what we see.

I'm posing this question to those, in particular, who had part in the Bicycle Gaurdians deck. What would it take to make a second edition running of these decks, but instead of just a normal bicycle air flow finish, there be integrated a thicker casino grade stock. I'm not saying that these cards aren't beautiful, but I find (I'm sure others have too) that certain things are a bit tougher with these. Bends are easily made during such things as boomerang cards shots. Scratches/dents in the card itself are made visible in the gleaming light. Clumping is making even the easiest double lift into quite a chore, especially when trying not to get caught.

I understand if there is nothing that can be done, but I sincerely WANT to be able to use these gorgous cards. I WANT to be proud of every deck I use to perform. Not only this, but I WILL even shell out a bit more money on decks of quality.

I'm not saying that there is something seriously wrong, so please do not take this as "just another complaint". But, take this as a friendly suggestion. We are all a brother hood here, and we just want to best for ourselves and the others out there that will soon join us.

Thank you for taking the time, even if it was just to skim through this.

i love the guardians just the way they are. the fact that others don't like them makes me like them even more. mine haven't had any clumping problems. i like the white border and faces and the different reds and greys used. i love the feel of the thinner cards, more like tally's and better for xcm

in short they are even better than i thought they would be. they are also stunningly beautiful

I've heard too may horror stories about these cards to even want to try them. If they're released in a second edition, they either need a price drop, or at least the finish needs to be improved. I've seen way too many reviews talking about clumping and faded backs to be interested. . . I even read one that mentioned little pieces of the cards flying off when the deck was riffled. Come on, guys. For five bucks a deck, chunks shouldn't be flying out of them right out of the box.

My quick opinion on the Guardians...

Do they clump? Yes.

Is it enough to irritate me? No. It's really not that bad. There is some minor clumping (LOL!) when you first take them out after they've been sitting, but a quick shuffle fixes that problem.

Am I happy with my purchase? Yes. I thoroughly enjoy playing around with them, and just looking at them. They're pleasing to the eye, and just cool looking cards. What else can I say???

Will I buy more? Doubt it. But then again, you're talking to the guy that still uses a special deck for more than a year...so yea. LOL!

Best.

I'm going to follow Justin's advice. I'm going to try and give these guys more of a chance. I will also put these things through a few loops tests. I did attempt Box Monster with them last night before I laid myself to sleep, and they did do quite well.

Here goes nothing.

I think the reviews on the Guardians speak for themselves. Everyone has their own opinion. I think T11 Staff should read the reviews and if they find that most are not happy with the G-Deck, then they should do something about it.

Yeah, I actually read Justin Miller's review on the Gaurdians and that inspired me to give the cards more of a chance. Wow, I am so glad that I did. I'm extremely happy with them now. Happy enough to just order a 12-pack.
