Try applying a lighter amount of pressure. Just let friction pull the card; the harder you press the more likely you are to drag others out/.

A lot of sleight of hand with cards involves a huge aspect of sensitivity. That will come with practice and time. The more you handle cards, the more your body adapts to them and you begin to "feel" how much pressure you should use or how rhythmically your finger spreads the cards. It's just something you grow into.

The best advice you can get is to just keep exploring the sleight. Work with pressure, finger placement, area of the hand contacting the cards. Break it up into beats and work on each beat by itself slowly.

It's probably because you have dry hands. If you lick the base of your palm and wipe it on your jeans it creates a "temporary sweat" so you can do the change acting like your palms are sweaty. Having sticky hands sometimes can be a good advantage. Practice the change outside where it's a little humid with crappy cards you dont mind taking outside. It will be easier to get used to having sweaty hands. People like myself suffer from dry hands quite a lot when doing magic. :(

you're right Casey my hands are actually quite dry and that's the biggest problem i had with my hands XD
everytime when i practice i will do some warm up to get my hands a lil bit sweaty but they get dry very quickly.

[R.C] - sometimes i apply light pressure to pull it out but d 3rd card still comes together.this mean my cards are too sticky?in the j.bayme color change tut he's using a fairly new deck right?
