Question about Scissors cut...

Today was my first flourishing day :)
I practiced on the charlier cut for approx 2 hours and moved to the scissors cut..
I can divide the two parts of the deck but i cant really bring the top half bellow the bottom one :( I use the encyclopedia of playing card flourishes by the way..
I think the problem is with my relatively short fingers. Does anybody got the same problem?
Thanks :)

Since that you are new to cardistry, it will take some time to build up your muscle memory. Don't worry, I was just like you when I first started it. Just keep practising it.

Hi,
I had a similar problem with the scissor cut, as I have child's hands, as I am a child. I don't know how I managed to get the capability, but my hands basically stretched more over time with attempts at it, my hand became able to stretch more and more, and while I still have small hands (a la child) I can do it, experiment with stretching.

You little stalker!
Angle the cards less. I found this is the key to getting ht scissor cut. Make the angle between the 2 packets smaller. lower it so that the 2 packets are at abotu a 90 degrees angle and it should clear.

Anything for Sephiroth,
hehe # Sephiroth! #

If you can't get the top packet down, get it as far as you can and let go of the index finger with the bottom packet so it falls into the hand, now clip it with the pinky and it should pop up above the other packet, then you can swing it closed.

That made no sense did it :(
