Question about Tornado Cut

Hi, i'm fairly new to cardistry/flourishing, lately ive been wanting to learn the tornado cut by ashford kneitel, got the video and all, but there's one thing i can't tell.

At the beginning, right after cutting the small packet with 3-4 cards, when youre gonna swivel it in order to grab a third packet, does he use one of his fingers on his right hand (except for the pinkie) to keep the small packet from moving?

Possibly his left ring finger? I can't seem to get it to hold still without using it, but again i dont want to learn it incorrectly

yeah he uses his pinky, after you break off the small packet with you pinky you kind of rotate your left wrist upward so that the index and thumb can take the third packet. That is how i do it at least.

Sorry, i kinda messed up while asking my question, i know he uses his pinky in the corner, but does he use one of his other fingers to "keep it in place"?

Whenever i do it the small packet gets rotated as i rotate my left wrist upwards

oh ok keep your right ring finger on top of the small packet next to the coner your pinky is on.

Assuming you're right handed (meaning your mechanics grip is held in your left),

Your right ring finger is the one used to spin the packet held between your pinky and left palm. The right middle finger and thumb are holding onto the other half of the deck.

Sorry, I don't know but it's "Continuously". Btw a tip, if you enter something that's not spelled correctly @ dictionary.com, the dictionary will somewhat correct it for you

It's a bit hard to explain, but after the first rotation I use my left ring finger to push the packet up to my right ring fingers so that I can do the same motion. I just repeat that over and over to get it to spin.
