Resource for beginning Cardists

As some of you may know fro my recent posts in the Cardistry Section I am still pretty new to cardistry. I am posting this as a resource for all the beginners out there just like me.

What I want is for experienced flourishers to post tips for beginners. Tips can be things such as:

How not to get discouraged if you don't seem to make progress.

What is the best place to learn certian moves (ex- a Sybil)

"How to" Practice more efficently.

And anything related to helping somone move foward in their flourishing experience.

Thanks to everyone in advance.
(Beginners you are welcome ;) )

Personally, I think this should be a "sticky pad" and hopefully that this thread will expand on giving tips. Anyway, here are some few tips:

-Practise while you are listening to your favourite type of songs
-Start off the moves slowly and gradually, it will increase speed
-Take a short break if your fingers is starting to strain
-Use the search function for the certain moves that you are struggling with (for example, Erdnase Go Around help) before you ask in here

Advice

Well my advice would be.

1)Take yourtime, the slower you do it at first the better your muscle memory will be when you start getting faster.

2)Really work on the "flare points" of the flourish. When there is a "pop" in the flourish you want that "pop" to look its best.

3) Do not over do it, take breaks between hours. Know your limits.

4)Find your favorite matierial to perform

5) Don't ever give up, no matter how hard it seems, eventually you will get the move and It will be worth it.

Hope this helped.

you should do something like this UnknownMagician93 in your original post. That would help a lot!

-Actually practice flourishes before posting videos of them.

-Go slow at first and get the mechanics. Work on speed after.

- Never give up on new flourish. It just take time.
