Effect: The Spectator selects a card and loses it back into the deck. The magician holds two kings with a face down sandwiched in between them. The magician then displays the face-down card to be the joker. With a little twitch of the hands the joker turns face down and changes into the selection.

Price: $6.95

Teaching: Patrick Kun goes over the basics of how to do the change. He also covers on the subtleties and how to clean up after the effect. He even goes over a routine you can do with the change.

Difficulty: Now this method does take awhile to master to make it look as clean as Patrick Kun does it in the trailer. It is not too difficult for a person familiar with sandwich effects but it will be difficult for people just starting out in magic.

Thoughts: After watching the tutorial and playing around with the method I have to say that this is a great effect! The change itself is very clever and looks like real magic. The change is pretty much angle proof and it is very natural looking. You don't have to shake the cards or do something complex with your fingers it just a small twitch. This is great for street magic because it's all impromptu and very visual. Although you don't really end clean, it doesn't really matter because you are still able to show everything front and back before and after. But I would've also have liked to see Patrick perform this effect out on the streets instead of just performing to Calen Morelli. Overall I think this is a STEAL for only $7 and it's just the kind of thing that's made for the Wire. Thank You Patrick Kun for a great effect!
