Roughing Trick Ideas

Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a roughing stick. It's worked really well and I've made some Invisible Decks and Brainwave Decks. I was wondering if anyone else knew any kinds of tricks or gimmick decks that can be made by roughing a standard deck of cards.

Thanks

Try Jim Steinmeyer's Khardova Deck in the May 2010 issue of Genii -- one of my favorites. It is an in the hands version of a solution to the Open Prediction plot.

If you don't mind getting a force deck try making a McCombical Deck or a Pop Eyed Popper deck (which are the reverse of each other).

You also can make a one-color Brainwave Deck or a two color Invisible Deck.

If you don't mind getting or making a Svengali deck, you can make a Mirage Deck.

Mixing a deck of blank cards with regular cards and adding a touch of equivoque can also make for an interesting variation on the invisible deck.

Also, check out Encyclopedia of Card Tricks - the sections on Slick Cards and Diachylon can be adapted using a roughing stick.

Alan Rorrison has a handful of ideas on his Murphy's lecture. He has a card to wallet as well as a sandwich trick.
