My favorites:

Band Through Hand
Slink (Daniel Garcia)
Off The Cuff (Greg Wilson)

Also, Souvenir Linking Rubberbands by Paul Harris just came out.

Bands are da bomb! Check out Dan Harlan's stuff. Aldo Colombini has a booklet about rubber bands, if I'm correct. Also, Link! by Nabil Murday may be worth checking out. I don't really perform link, because IMO it's really not that practical, but it goes over Handcuffs in great detail, plus variations and more. Great beginners guide. Impromptu is the way to go, so I don't really suggest going for all of them gimmicks with rubber bands. Always wear them on your wrist!

Dan Harlan has great material. Yes it is older but it is awesome.

I do the following all impromptu.

1.) crazy man handcuffs but with spectator holding onto a stretched rubber band
2.) band through the thumb
3.) broken and restored rubber band
4.) band shot up my nose

You little stalker!
Dude you have to check out Baning Around by Russell Leeds. It's possibly the most innovative rubber band dvd i've ever seen. This guys has made so many awesome moves that allows you to visually penetrate a band through a pen, change bands into coins, and even do 3 Fly and Coins Through Table using rubber bands.

I know this thread is kind of old but I was searching for some Info about this DVD specifically so I hope you can help me. I mostly want to know if his stuff is mostly ungimmicked or gimmicked.
thx in advance.

I"m pretty sure the Banding Around DVD is mostly impromptu. I just started watching it today and the first two sleights are gimmickless...I know...that sounds obvious.

My impromptu rubber band set is sweet.

I open with crazy man handcuffs. Then go into rubber band through the thumb. Broken and restored. Two rubber bands shown and then one melts into the other and vanishes. Then I normally shoot the rubber band up my nose to close and walk away.

The penetrating rubber bands that Copperfield performs has been a staple of mine since 5th grade (I'm 30 and married with a kid now.. lol)

It is pure visual, no fishy moves... I love it..

Bestest Rubber Band trick Hands down

Since we are on the topic of rubber band effects, does anybody have the sleightest idea if Rich Ferguson's rubber link is his own pet effect or is a modification of say, Chris Kenner's Missing Link? Or where can I learn this effect? It looks absolutely amazing and so fair! I almost want to say that it is gimmicked because of how clean it looks:
