Guys,

We wanted to switch things up a bit tonight - to take a departure from the usual Saturday Night Contest routine and do something different. Something fresh.

What we've come up with is tonight's event : a theory11 roundtable discussion. Each roundtable will involve multiple theory11 artists and crew, and we'll be taking questions directly from you - and answering them in a podcast posted just one hour after the deadline for questions.

The time now is 7:30pm EST. You have from now until 10:00pm EST (2 hours and 30 minutes) to submit any questions you may have for tonight's roundtable guests - Dan and Dave Buck. All questions are fair game - and up to 3 questions can be submitted per member.

Questions should be professional and on topic. We will select 5 - 10 questions from this thread to be asked during the podcast. A link to the podcast will be posted in this thread at 11:00pm EST tonight.

If your question is chosen to be answered live during the roundtable discussion, you'll be able to select your choice of any 1-on-1 video on the house. Remember that all questions must be in on or before 10:00pm EST. Go for it.

UPDATE : The MP3 of this week's theory11 roundtable has been posted. Listen to it now at this link.

What made you depart from the normal styles of magic and start on the flourishing, which was a relatively new concept before you guys came along?

Is there any sleight you can't do?!

Personal inspiration?

Did any of you go to Ring or SAM meetings every month or so and if so, how do you think that impacted your creativity to make and or perfect tricks/flourishes?

Sounds great, I have a few questions already in mind, as seen as it's almost 1:00 in the morning here, I'll ask 'em now.

1) How and where do you perform flourishes for non-magic/flourishy folk, and how does just flourishing go down with the audience?

2) Do you still drop cards when learning new flourishes?

1. What does it feel like when you're so admired in the magic community, and the normal community doesn't know who you are?

2. Did magic affect your school years?

3. Do you still get confused and mess up when you learn new tricks and flourises?

1. If you could jam with any flourisher at any location, who would it be? And why? It can be anybody at any period of time.

Question.one//Was there ever a point where either of you got "Writers Block". In the sense of when you were coming up with an idea or principle for a flourish, you simply got half way through and could not think of where to go, if so, any tips on how to, lack of a better word, cure this?

Question.two//While working in the industry was there ever a time where either of you felt intimidated, or even just tongue-tied, performing, or talking to a magician you've looked up to when you finally got the chance to meet them?

Question.three//*To be determined*

questions
1) do you guys do any other sort of magic on occasion? such as coin, rope, etc, and if not is there any reason why?

2) who are you most proud of performing for? or is there someone in particular that you have enjoyed performing for the most?

3) What has been the best perk of getting into magic and flourishing proffesionally?
