Yes i agree that is the one nice thing about performing through camera no people examining propsNice routine! If I were performing this, I wouldn't do the paddle with the sharpie and just use it as a reveal. I think it just adds an extra thing they'll want to examine and they'll find it says sharpie on one side. Patter would be something like "this sharpie that has been here this whole time happens to say the name of your card, the six of clubs".
That does help! Thanks!I like the routine seems like something id perform at a bar as a closer. The main thing id suggest is don't karate what you are gonna do(ex.: I will shuffle the deck, I will take a card) just do it and say the deck is shuffled or we have the 6 of clubs. also for the sharpie text change don't do the move so drastically if you do it in a smaller motion it can seem more elegant and impressive, hope that helps!
thanks i was crunching for time otherwise i would have shoved the sharpie up my nose lolSweet! I like it exactly like you did it and wouldn't change anything you did. But since you are sitting at a table, you could take advantage of that fact and vanish the Sharpie (by l a _ _ ing it). That way, you add a very magical kicker, and if you do it in person, it also eliminates any concerns about examinability. If you don't have a good method for the vanish, send me a private message.
