I have seen a few mentions of a grip called the shifted grip for false dealing mainly, which i had not previously heard of. does anyone know what source this comes from? Or how it stacks up against other grips?

I've done a bit of research and, as far as I can see, this grip is unique to "The Count", who used to post as Drey on 21ace and a couple of other forums. As far as I can see, it bears some resemblence to the look of a modified Erdnase grip, and the pressures of the grip described in Maskelyne's Sharps and Flats. If you want to look at it in depth then it's detailed in "The Count's Inquisition of Shuffling and Dealing Volume 3" ebook.

No problem. I've got a bit of a collector's mania for false dealing techniques, so if I'm not familiar with something I want to know about it.

I understand i'm pretty interested in false deals too. Although I basically just started centers and push off seconds. What do you think is a good source for greeks?
