EVENT CALENDAR 2008

You've already missed Probably the World’s Greatest Magic Show, Insect Circus and Travelling Circus Museum and the Whoopee Club Carnaval Ball, but there's still plenty more to come this half term and Showzam! is an annual event:

Circus Carnival 16 – 23 February
A brand new circus, created especially for February Half Term

World Junior Magician Championships 19 February
This is one talent show not to be missed

Duckie 23 February
The Olivier Award winning Duckie comes to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom

Showtown Exhibition 8 – 24 February
Exhibition charting the history of theatreland with some rare and never before seen posters

Magical Workshops for wannabe magicians 8 – 24 February
Learn skills including stage magic, street magic, close up magic, balloon modelling, comedy magic and ventriloquism

Close-up Magicians 8 – 24 february
Magicians will appear at a variety of venues throughout the Town Centre every day during the festival

I heard that this is supposed to be amazing. Here's something I got from the Magic Woods.

"I have some very good news for you - Paul Kieve is back in Blackpool next Thursday, 21 February.

He'll be doing a book signing at Waterstones 12-1.30pm.

He'll then be at the Lawrence House Studio, Grand Theatre, Church street to give a talk about Hocus Pocus. This starts at 2.30pm and tickets cost £3. Call 0844 856 1111 to book.
