So I have a few silver dollars and started practicing SD with them. Man did my technique improve after using those heavy coins! I don't know if it is common for you coin manipulators to use heavier coins, so I thought I would share that with all of you. I mostly deal with cards but love SD though I do not have it performance ready. After training with silver dollars and then going to half dollars though it has greatly improved my technique and I would say I will be ready to road test next week. Also Silver dollars greatly improve my height when I perform the muscle pass with a poker chip. Anyway just thought I would share my personal discovery in case it might help those of you that are learning SD. It is a great three coin vanish routine for those if you who do not have it.

Ya, it's a common practice tactic for coin magicians. Kris Nevling advised practicing the muscle pass with a heavy washer. That way, it's much easier with a half dollar.
