If that's the way you act normally in a game, it's good.
From the point of view of what I consider normal behavior, why would you keep your right hand glued on the table at all times? Gambler's flat palm is designed to allow you to get into a varierty of positions that look very natural. In practice you will find most of them easily.

Also, if you don't shuffle the cards in that manner regularly in a game, the move is useless in a game situation.

The hand flat at the beginning and end were for display purposes - I doubt his hand would ever actually be like that. It was just the context of the video. As Bnibro also points out on the comments page of your video, after the initial muck, the actions to cover it speed up, so I'd suggest slowing it down after that phase.
