Yes, I'd say it's worth your time to learn. It might be a bit pricey, but it's definitely a good technique. The only problem is that you need to have a surface where you can let the cards land on, in other words, you need a table. So where do you normally perform? If it's street magic, then chances are, you won't have a table nearby that you can use, which pretty much throws that out... You could always crouch down and shoot them on the floor, but that just screams unprofessional, so basically you need a table.
It really comes down to one question. Are you around tables enough to make it worth your while?
