So I just received smoke by Alan Rorrison in the mail, immediately opened it up and watched the DVD. And after re-watching it twice I still have no clue how it works! The DVD is very vague! I don't know if I'm allowed to say what the gimmick is or not, so if anyone has this effect and knows how to use please message me!

I think I know what your issue is because I was a little weary of the gimmick at first as well.
Make sure to place the smoke mechanic in the proper place of the gimmick once it's fully charged and make sure it's a smoke pack that's not empty. Then you will notice your gimmick has a bottom that does not have a normal bottom like the everyday objects that it resembles. From there you can put your mouth on it and suck out the smoke. Think of it like an e-cigarette. Hope this helps!

Yeah, I had to chance cartridges right away. I thought it was broken, but worked great once I switched it out.
