So why don't decks come with dupes?

The only deck that I've seen that came with a dupe is the Guardian, the Jokers are exactly the same, most decks don't come with dupes.

I would assume that they don't come with dupes because it would be more practical for a magician to just get a card from another deck and use it, instead of using some random card and just throwing it in with the deck.

Ah but you are wrong.

Black tigers, Vipers, masters and also 1800's come with the same jokers.


But yeah it is way smarter to pull a card from a second deck

Maybe people just want you to buy a second deck, JUST for the dupes. There's marketting for ya.

Individual gaffs sell for about $5.00, depending of the type of gaff, so economically it's more profitable and feasible to sell them seperately, than providing the customer with a free $5.00 gift.
