So I've been wanting to buy Stars of Magic (the book) for a while. However, I am looking at all of the listings, and I see things like "Dai Vernon Volume 5" or "Paul Harris Volume 4". I always thought there was 1 book with a ton of routines in them (which were originally pamphlets)? So if I were to buy it, are there multiple volumes that I need to buy? Or should I just be looking for the one book? Also, who exactly is the author because there seems to be a million different ones.

The Author is Meir Yedid, The Photographer and Editors names are George Karger and George Starke , It's one book , they came out with a Paperback version a couple of months back. It's not as expensive as the hardcover which I have as well. Great book, It has everything you need to know about Close-Up Magic and is not limited to cards. It has the original write up of Triumph as well as good tricks like Slow-Motion Four Aces, Ambitious Card Routine(Vernon), Cavorting Aces and more..Hope this helps.

The Author is Meir Yedid

That is not correct. Meir Yedid purchased the publishing rights in 2003. He had nothing to do with the original series of manuscripts that were originally published in the 1940s and 1950s or the original bound copies of the series which were originally published by Tannens and then D. Robins (who publishes the 8 volume Tarbell Set).
