State of the cards you use?

Having just got Genesis Vol1, I opened up a new pack of Bicycle Guardians and immediately had problems with cards slipping etc.

Anyone got any tips with the state of decks to be used?

I got a really old deck of Bicycles out that iv had for about 5+ years and they are much better, a little worn on all edges but seem to "stick/hold" better than the freshly opened pack.

Anyone else had this problem and know of a remedy or any tricks on keeping the decks a little fresh for use?

Cards condition will be depending on you.

Example:
-Doing cuts (Charlie, Sybil or other XCM). = Not slippery, Moderate use/a bit sticky.
Reason: Because you want to have more grip on the cards and the handling for they would not fall easily.
Remedy on getting sticky card: Play around with it a bit more or with your friends for a atleast 2-4 times. Dropping the cards on the floor everywhere often.
Hands condition: Sweaty

-Doing fans( One hand fan, thumb fan). = Slippery cards
Reason: Because you want them to slide with smoothness.
Remedy: Do not drop atleast one card, Wash your hands often with soap, Opening a new brand and use the 1st and 2nd joker always on and and bottom for they are the only one being infected with germs the most and you do not get the cards between 1st and 2nd joker dirty. Do not drop the deck on a liquid puddle.
Hands condition: Dry

Thanks for this, yeah Fan's are really easy with a fresh pack, I'm also wondering if there's any way to give some old cards some more "life"

Not sure if there are some chemicals I can treat the cards with at all?

I'm glad that for trying to help. Fanning powder will give it a life but you have to buy it. Do not use other powders except fanning powder and that powder is only use for cards.

If you want to fan with old cards... there is some moves that can fan old cards.
- Pressure fan
- Flower fan

If you know what you're doing a thumb fan will generally work too.

it really depends. My old cards clump so much you literally get 10 packets of cards when you try and fan them out. Usually you can put a deck away for a bit and when you reopen it it will fan nicely.
