Manufacturer's Write Up: STEEL is the first real nail bend to date. It is Rasmus's underground method, used by him for many years, to bend real steel nails in real time. The nails can be marked or signed by the spectator before the miracle happens. For the first time in magic, STEEL gives you the ability to do the impossible, in front of the spectator's eyes. STEEL can be performed on stage or in close-up situations. It is the perfect weapon to project supernatural powers to a spectator (pseudo hypnosis), where the spectator receives the power to bend a real STEEL nail just by hand. Or what about this: the straight nail is in the palm of the spectator. By covering the nail with the other hand and concentrating, the nail starts to bend between the hands of the spectator, without even touching the spectator.

How accurate is the ad copy? This is exactly what happens. I do take one issue with the phrase “easy to use” because I suppose “easy” is a relative term. I have read about a few instances where people said the nails were too difficult for them to bend. Of course, the routine then could be changed so that you had your spectator bend the nail. (just pick people who look stronger than you)

Key points: The nails can be hammered into wood, before the miracle happens. After the nail is bent, it's impossible to bend it back.
How are the production values: The talent is seated at a table in a living room setting. You will get both close up and wide shots and everything is well mic’d.
Is it well made: the nails look – feel and even sound like real nails. Like the add copy says, you can even nail the gimmicks into a wood block to prove their constitution. The nails are also a one time bend and can not be “bent back” once performed with – so you will need to buy another set once these are all gone. Refills will one day be available.
Is it well taught: Marc Lavelle and Rasmus teach this to you covering all of the basics. How to bend the types of nails, various routines, and different presentations should you find certain nails too difficult to handle. I think these nails are very versatile and will serve your needs well.
For instance – worried that a magician will think there is a “switch?” Sign the nail. Worried that a spectator will take the nail home and try to bend it further? Don’t give it to them – or better yet – crush it all the way so it’s impossible to bend forward or backwards.
Storage? Does it "pack flat?" The dimensions are above – but these appear to be standard steel nails with small heads.
Does it "play big?" these will play big in the magician’s arsenal.
Difficulty / Skill level required: All you need are strong hands – or good leverage.
How much arts and crafts are involved? None.
How practical is this in the real world? (can it really be done?) Absolutely – these are great for street magic, walk around – just about anything you can think of.

My thoughts I’ve never done metal bending, it always looked like something I’d never get into – but with the ease of STEEL – this will make anyone an instant MASTER! Great door way to enter the world of strength acts or mentalism. This will turn you into the “Man of Steel” in seconds.
