I'm considering buying surfaced by Chad Nelson and just wanted to know if it is worth the 40 dollars. I've been dying to learn the clip shift for over a year now. Also, what is the difficulty of the content on this DVD.

The DVD is worth it if you're willing to put in the work.

The clipshift is for many people the first truly difficult sleight they have learned. Its applications range from average to difficult.

There are some nice effects, and the Clipshift has many applications, but just be warned you'll have to practice for at least a month probably before you can consider starting to learn the applications.

It is a great dvd with live performances. The difficulty is in my opinion slightly easier than the trilogy. Most of the slights are the clipshift but there are a few others to play around with. All the tricks are visual and original.

I highly recommend it

The 40 bucks is because of the hype. The Clip Shift is a great move and all... except for the fact it CAN be highly impractical in situations and you can only use it when you're somehow getting into or using biddle grip (not to impede the flow of your effect, which is very important). I don't think it's worth that much, and I wouldn't use it as a color change because I don't randomly go around shaking a deck saying, "look it changes;" I don't structure a routine around a single move (inefficient and time badly spent?). All in all, I have found one purposeful use of the Clipshift and that is As a Control. For that purpose, it's pretty GREAT, I have to admit. Anyways, good luck. It's like Brian Tudor's stuff... put in the effort and you'll get SOME out of it... not everything.

I didn't know this was still a hot topic; surfaced i mean.

Uh, I did not buy the clipshift, I figured it out on my own. But, I LOVE it and would eventually have bought it. So I don't really know why i'm replying to this, but yea, the shift is a great move, buy the DVD

i thought it was excellent, lots of uses for the move

its just the move itself that was hard.

still cant get it right.
