hey i wanted to know what you all think about those certain websites where millions of tricks are revealed?

i personally think its bad, because if you honor and artist (magicians like W:H, or danny etc.) then you appreciate what they do, and getting info from there is like piracy? yes or no?

and i have heard from friends that do that, that are overwhelmed eith so much information, and do not get a single trick right (im not saying that im good or better , just in case some wishes to attack me... lol)

so what do you all thinki of these sites, good? bad? why?

I think that it is a double edged sword honestly. For instance when i first got into magic i was surprised that you actually had to pay to learn tricks. i liked the card trick that i was shown by a magician but i didnt think that i was ready to start paying for tricks. So i found Dave Castles site i wont post the name but you guys know what im talking about. And i started learning some little bs tricks. that got me more interested in magic and since then i obviously do pay for magic because its my main hobby and hope to do something with it one day. But if it hadnt been for the exposer sites i never would have gotten into magic. so i thank them for that.

i think that these sites are wrong, but i do appreciate them for what they did for me. I think that they do have a place. that they can teach people that are interested in magic simple tricks to see if they enjoy them. I think that it is completely wrong for them to post tutorials to copyrighted stuff though. I would never post a tutorial unless i came up with the trick/flourish myself. But i also think that it in some cases can help the magic community. Sorry if this pisses ne one off but thats how i feel about them.

Yes, he definitely is, what i inserted wasn't very nice though =D. But, exposure to the hundreds is bad IE>youtube>and DJC site...which i hate... But, when you think about it if you lend your friend a dvd is that exposure? Because i'm sure of it people do that, and it's the same thing. (i don't do it though...i don't have any magicians around where i live). But that's what i think NOT GOOD AT ALL.

But uhh, I"M SO GETTING HIS AUTOGRAPH. FREE PLAYING CARD?!?!? I could take the back and split it, throw it, tnr it, rip it, or burn it. Think of the possibilities of a free playing card!

EDIT: Aww what... its 5 dollars.

well most tricks exposed on those site are very basic, to the point were the tricks are just plain stupid. I don't care about the exposer sites, unless there exposing actually good tricks, there aren't many of those sites but they are out there, those are the only ones i care about.
