well i dont know if this has been done before, but i created this idea which i use, and really makes a memory...

a deck log: a deck that stands as a journal, everytime i do an effect, i have the card signed, i actually make the spectator sign to cards, one for them to keep and one for me, i tell them that, i have 2 decks for example red, when the spectator signs a 10C i do a wave the aces or biddle count, then i tell them that i will keep that card to keep record that i performed to him, then he signs another a 6H i do an ACR and he keeps that card, the for the 10C i go to the other deck pull out that 10C and switch the cards, this is complicated, well at some time you will have to start forcing cards do that you dont have repeats..

i have 17 so far i havent had the need to force any, at the end you should end up with a deck of 52 cards all signed by different spectators, its a really good souvenir for yourself... i came up with this and i really like the idea, i cant wait until i get 52 cards.... sorry about the bad explanation, but you should try it... well i just wanted to share this idea with you..

It's an interesting concept.

I do have a good amount of cards Ive saved that spectators have signed. I'ts fun to see just how many times you've performed a signed effect.

I know a lot of magicians keep signed cards for Torn and Restored card practice and other effects that require destroying cards. Me, personally, I like to give the signed card to my spectator because it is a much more meaningful souvenir for my spectator than for me.

Nothing new here. Magicians keep signed cards all the time in their deck- soemthing I actually should start doing, but most of kmy tricks don't require signing cards.

Interesting that you get them to sign 2? Keep one for them and one for yourself? Thats quite funny, its like a logbook= The deck log (I just realised).

And yeah, the explanation was terrrible. PLEASE CARUSO type in readable english! Its frustrating to read soemthnig that looks like it was written by 2 year old that typed up random words!

Yeh as Justin said... (darosa.justin - not me) "Nothing new here." thats very true...I know heaps of magicians that keep their signed cards...But building it up too 52 cards and making a deck out of them is a great idea. Perhaps you could make a whole deck for 2008 another deck for 2009 etc. Hehe nice idea.

I've had tons of cards signed, but I only save a few that are left over in my deck. Most of the time I let them keep it, but if it ends up staying in my deck, I'll throw it in a box I have by my desk and keep it... possibly for a duplicate of a signed effect. I like the idea, but I doubt I'll ever get around to doing it.
