NOTE: You may skip the first to paragraphs, which contain but an entertaining story.
A quick trick?
"I've got eyes like an eagle, therefore I can track cards you shuffle 100%. You on the other hand have glasses, especially the position of a card, which can warp itself, will warp in your vision. We shall place this card (you selected [maybe]) in the center, then place the pack on your hand. Try to track it, and cut it to the top again. Oh ... it looks like this failed. But I can still see the card in the center. It looks quite unhappy that it didn't get enough attention from you. Let's free it from its despair."
As the empty hand of the magician lifts up half of the pack, which is rested on the spectators hand, the card shoots out.
Usually, my quick stand up opening stuff is the usual trilogy style flashy short discoveries. To do my own thing I have developed the trick pictured above. Even if not presented as in the text it will probably last about 35 seconds. Is this not short enough? Is it possible as an opener? Is it to risky? (The method will be easy to discover from text for the expert, therefore not video is given) Is the revelation interesting enough in given context to create an entertaining trick? (effects like tivo transpo are so strong visually, that patter may even consist of "The center card is the ... and the top card the ..., I just drop the cards like this and they swap places.")
Basically, what do you think of this "revelation"? (Consider, that this happen on the spectators hands, while they're holding the pack.)
PS: Obviously not possible surrounded, 2 person max.
