The "Magician" Type I Hate

This can't be called a magician though...
first he barely practices... he failed a double lift 3 times in a row ... like you could see the cards peeking out....
he only knew one way to force a card (this is ok i dont mind people that only knows 1 force) well... so what i was talking about...
i was performing to some friends and he showed up... he started saying what i was doing well supposedly because at EVERY trick and i mean EVERY trick he started with the phrase.... "oh nice forcing" even though i was not forcing...
he wanted to look as the cool guy that knows magic tricks and ended being the stupid guy that ruined the fun for everyone...
Once i palmed a card so the spectator placed his card on top and then make it go 2nd with the palm card... then a dl... place the "selected" card on the middle and make it go up again....
well he was like "Oh i know how he did that ! lemme tell you.. first he forced you a card which is 2 times on that deck... then he places the dupe on the top and he looses your card and shows the dupe"
I hate those guys that just to make people think they are better magicians they ruin your tricks with stupid comments...and sometimes even ruining their own tricks...
oh well....

hope you dont get bored reading hehe

Not bored, confused. And thank you. You just explained the main reason why I don't perform for laymen in front of other magicians. Not that they'd expose it or anything, because all my magic buddies actually know some manners and respect.

But because you can't get good reactions from a magician. Therefore, my performance would end up looking sub-par to laymen when magicians are around. Not the image I want to portray to a possible client. :)

Best.

A lot of people who are magicians seem to forget that part of the magician's code is to not screw with other's tricks. Everyone, I think, should re-read them. They're sensible.

yeah, you really gotta hate those guys. just laugh it off, hand him the cards adn start to call him out on everything. sure its a dick move, but it proves a point.

OR

clock him one good in the face, give him a paper cut in the eye with the cards and make him look like an idiot.

OR

just fry his ass with something so simple that he starts drooling.

i love to call out bad magicians. when a "magician" calls me out... wait they dont, im just too damn sly.

haha jokes,

good luck

I don't know any magicians who would be so rude.

Come to think of it, I don't know many magicians period.

And yes, please punch the next person who calls you out. I enjoy seeing authority bust morons with no self-control.

If you really think that violence is the answer, I'm pretty sure you don't belong in society. Go live in the wild with the rest of the weak.

The best way to cure this is to, stop what you are doing completely, and say to them, "as you know how it is all done, I suppose you can perform it for me as it would save plenty of my time"

That way, they will have to shut up...

Amen to that. You guys need to chill the hell out and put things in perspective.

Ok befroe this thread gets out of hand or someone gets the wrong idea, VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER.

I know how annoying people like that can be. You see people don't review magic (and magic related arts) as a proffesion or a talent. They see it as a sort of social bolster to start conversations or win people over. They see it as a tool, and a tool anyone can BUY.

It is so much more than that. THis is why i have started performing UBER cool stuff that is specialist. I basically will not perform magic "you can pick up and your local shop" We are specialists, show it. People will realize soon.

We AMAZE people, they advertise for the local shop.

No biggie, I'm not worried about them actually following through with their words. Kids love talking behind a computer, because they know they can and the consequences are minimal. The real world, however, is much less inviting and much more painful, physically.

If they are in real life as dumb as they talk on an internet forum, they'll be in the hospital soon.

Those are the worst ideas I've ever heard. Where did you get tem from? Some direct-to-video high school flick made in the 80's?

It really astounds me how many here are still thinking like 5-year-olds pretending to be adults.

I met a magician and he told me to heckler him but it never worked=p

I couldn't even mess up his classic forcer he was amazing.

One of the tricks he did was.

He told me to THINK of a card. I did.when he said pick up some cards from the deck.I did. Then the card I THOUGHT of was at the bottom of the packet I picked up.

I never wrote it, said it, or expressed my card in anyway.

where can I learn that?

Or is it mentalisim.

But he did do it three times in a row.
