The spectrum of cards

Ok, I admit, I use Bicycles; always have and... hope I won't always will. I hear much talk of other card types and their superior aspects and see many different types in videos, and am interested in branching out and getting some new kinds. The magic store guy in Chattanooga said that if you're not getting Bicycles you have to pay $20 for them, but I sense that he's wrong...

Basically, I'd be very pleased if someone would layout them major species of cards (Tally ho's, bicycles, designed cards, etc) by their usability and endurance and price. Thanks!

You little stalker!
Tally-ho's are the best cards in my opinion. Mostly becuz they're not crappy cards, and they aren't over-hyped either. Why i dont really like Custom decks like black tigers or something, is because its really not much different. the only time i would use custom cards are for special performances. But they're just cards. I like to follow the advice of this one guy on youtube who got a 1st edition black ghost ddeck and started ripping them. He said "these cards arent gonna make you a better flourisher. Being a better flourisher is all about skill, practice, and experience" or something like that. Also this other guy on youtube (yes there are some wise people there) said "It's not what the artist uses to make his art, but what the art becomes". Anyways, i'm just saying, you dont need good card to be good, i've been using bicycles and a few tally hos for 3 months, they never failed me. Hope this helps. =)

Yeah, I'm pretty fine with the Bicycles; I'm just thinking that there isn't any reason to struggle with certain inadequacies of the cards if I could get better ones for just a little more $. So Tally ho's would be a good value and quality compared to Bicycles? Are there any other mid-range decks that aren't like the custom decks? (The only reason I'd get a custom is for cool back design.)
