Recently I started to practice how to throw cards. I only know the basics.

Does anyone know some actions or variations or other cool effects involving throwing cards. please tell me also where it's published.

There's a DVD out called Urban by Richard Bellars that teaches you how to throw cards over buildings, through newspapers, knock over cans, do magic tricks with card throwing, etc. It's pretty good.

Yeah, I use to do the same thing. It's a common mistake actually. If Ricky Jay wasn't one of my favorite sleight-of-hand artists then I would still be making the mistake.

one fun thing to do is using an exacto knife, cut out the pips at the corners (make them little diamond-shaped cuts)

now when you throw them it will make a very strange wobby/whistling sound that sounds really cool and will drive your cats nuts! also if you throw them over the heads of your spectators it makes a cool doppler effect.
