Total Beginner

Hey there so i would like to start off and tell you all how i came into knowing and interest of Card Flourishing. So me and my friends always play games of poker together and so i was learning how to do poker chip tricks and looking at videos of those online. I then ran into someone fanning cards and all that and it jumped out at me that i would like to do that and i did some research and found that it's called Card Flourishing so i did some google searches on beginner card flourishing and i found this site and registered.

So what i want to know is where should i start? I don't want to spend money to buy books or DVDs to learn, i was hoping there is some free content somewhere that will help me get started. I just want to know a few of the basics and do some cooler things to impress the friends. Also give me more style while dealing. I found a tutorial on card fanning and i tried with a bicycle deck i had but they all stick together and clump up! Gah! haha so any help at all would be great!

Speaking as another beginner...
I started with YouTube, which might not have been the best idea, but it can get you started on some basics.
And Theory11 offers three free downloads in its tricks section, one of which involves cards (though it's not a flourish...)
And newer decks tend to fan better.

Also, http://thecardist.net/ (the forum rules don't mention anything about posting links, right?) lists some free cardistry tutorials.

This can be done, if you really set your mind to it. At first, though, it may seem impossible. Don't give up!
