I recently watched Untitled by Luke Dancy and figured it out, but i bought it anyway just to support him :)

But i don't like the easiness of the trick, do you have any idea in what i could add to the trick to make it better ... for me ?

Well just because the method is easy does not mean it needs to be improved. If you want to improve your magic you should read the Paper Engine or Anything by Darwin Ortiz the idea is the conservation of movement. Everything in this effects is motivated and does not have any suspicion.

If you want a real challenge in this effect substitute the riffle force for a face up classic.

What type of thinking is that? You don't like a trick because it's simple or easy? You're thinking like a magician and a technician. Make it entertaining! An easy method is something most magicians would love! Don't confuse the magic and method further.

I showed my cousin this effect (the video demo, I dont have it) and he FLIPPED out, after I showed him a tivo 2.0 video and he was like "yeah, whatever." Just off that reaction I'll probably buy this.

I highly reccomend Paper Engine, got it for Christmas and absolutley LOVE it.

Good idea, but why try and make the effect harder? Its good to have a challenge but everything in this effect is spot on already. (Retorhical question, I understand why you put this.)

Valid points, although it is a nice feeling when you are able to perform an effect with a more challenging method sometimes, but an easy method with a hard hit is always good. No need to make it more difficult when its laid out perfectly in front of you. If you need to adjust it to fit your performing style, thats fine, but adding a sleight for a challenge doesn't seem to logical.

Hope this helps.

Sweet ass to hear you guys are diggin' on the Untitled effect! I'll be the first to admit the pure simplicity behind the effect and the method. It really is one of those 'weird' things you do to people that they will remember.

I don't have any add-ons to offer but I can tell you the way I love to perform it. Once I bring out the cards and have one selected I'll openly say that I know what they want me to do and damnit I'm sick of it! Instead of having to find their card I'm going to do things my way and find a card that is NOT theirs.

I hope this effect shows the peeps that it isn't always about how complicated something needs to be to impress. As Dai Vernon used to say back in the day..."Keep It Simple Stupid" I realize this isn't the kind of thing that is going to fool other magicians but it was designed to be for the 'real people' as we like to call 'em and it seems to do the job.

Have fun, hope to see more of you during 2010. Happy New Year!
