Is it impromtu? I forgot to mention it must be impromtu
Not to the best of my knowledge.
Are you one of those "purists" or something? Because you shouldn't be.
But if you're looking for a really good reset routine, check out Kevin Ho's Smooth Operations.
I know punk'd I just dont like it to much. What is wrong with being a purist?
You're just limiting yourself, that's all. I mean, I generally don't use gimmicks because I just don't do those tricks, but when I do, they're great. There's really no good reason to be abjectly against them.
For anyone who doesn't know, reset is an effect originated by Paul Harris, based on a couple other ideas. It is, at it's core, a double transposition of two four of a kind's. Say for instance, the four aces transpose with the four kings, which are usually isolated in front of the spec', then transpose back so the magician is left once again holding the aces.

Zenneth Kok has some interesting ideas on reset, including this one which has a very visual "reset" at the end:

Ah, I was getting mixed up because of Chris Kenner's Twister, a cross between a twisting the aces and a reset. My bad.
The funny thing is that when I saw this effect for this first time, I didn't get what was supposed to happen, plain confusing.Zenneth Kok has some interesting ideas on reset, including this one which has a very visual "reset" at the end:

Cheers,

But again, the video had no patter in it.
EDIT: Just re-watched it, lots of unjustified moves, the deck is in play which is a big con, color changes when the card is changed on the deck puts some heat on the deck, mulitple changes puts lots of unneeded heat. Also, the final ace revelation kinda of broke the rhythm.
While it might work for some, there are much better versions out there, in my personal opinion.
Also, some magicians tend to focus on some extremely visual, forgetting that the magic happens to in the mind, not the eyes. The eyes are stimuli, and not the only ones.
