Walk Thru Mirror Effect

hi everyone this is my my first post on here sooo here it goes ok my parents are building a new house and my rooom is going to be by the basement so its basicaly part of the basement but theres a wall and i was thinking about my new room yesterday and i thought wouldnt it be cool if instead of having a door lead to my room having a walk thru mirror in the wall to my room so heres what i thought idk the actual trick secret but since my dads a craftsman and insulating the house if he could pu a mirror in the wall that slide a couple feet an locks in place when its shut and to keep me going through a real mystery if i put some of that black elastick material over it with a slit down the middle....do u get the point if so can u give me some feedback and other tricks i could put into my room thx

Lol... Just instead of a door, have a mirror, that swings out like a door... You'll have to be creative for a handle... Basically... A door, with a mirror covering the entire thing...

You can find a video of Teller doing a tour of his house. He has this.

I would basically have the mirror in place of the door, with a small moveable panel on the wall next to it, which moves out of the way to access the handle for the mirror-door.
