Why the hate?

I just don't get it. I've read countless threads along the lines of, "I hate E. They're horrible." And I just want to know why. I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but I don't think I could find it. Anyways, I'm all right with E. I mean, they come out with some cool decks, they have some cool tricks, and they seem to boost a new age of magic. Granted, they may treat magic as a business, but so does any "brick and mortar" magic shop you can find.

I like Theory11, Ellusionist, Penguinmagic. But only because I like lets say this site, I don't hate the others.

I don't mind E. Some effects are awful and overpriced but there are some real gems. They have good performers and i always enjoy watching their previews.

I've never been against Penguin either because of Oz Pearlman and i do use quite a few of their tricks/ideas.

I myself love Ellusionist. It is where I started off with magic tricks.

I don't know why people hate E. Well, recently I have been a bit disapointed because they reveal these magic tricks of the week after celebracadabra which makes me a little nut. But still I don't hate them.

I myself just think that E is having a hard time right now. It would appear that many of Ellusionists artists are leaving to go elsewhere and they don't get loads of new tricks like T11 does. I think that it may be possible that they are going to have to close down within the next year or two. This trick of thw week thing also seems kind of desperate, as if it is just supposed to draw anyone to the site.

Anyway, do I hate E? NO.
Do I like E? YES.
Have I been disapointed with some of their recent decissions? DEFFINETLY.

Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly fine store, I just find their forums to be fascist.

The store is great, nothing wrong with it at all. The nazi forums are the part that makes me insane. They may as well shut them down now, after all everything has been discussed already and all you have to do is "Use the search feature" I don't think I have made a post there where I didn't get that reply. I hate the forums. Thats it.

Hey,

I'm going to close this thread for a few reasons. The topic "Why do people hate E?" has been brought up numerous times, and every time has resulted in arguing, and ended up in a huge "flame" war that has no positive effect on furthering and advancing anyone's magic.

Everyone in life has their own preferences, Mac VS. PC for example, and both has the strong and weak points. I am a fan of E and their products and believe they are the kick starters of street magic for today's youth. But, do all people feel this way? No. And that's how it always will be. To each his own.

So, with that said let's get back to the magic.
