Just a quick question-

My Wynns arrived a fewe days ago, and I must admit the quality is less than I had expected. Photoshopped pics maybe? Over-rated reviews?

I dont know, but I exepcted just a bit better. They feel very nice though.

THe problem is that they came with an almost permanent BEND in them. Was it just my deck? I live in quite a humid place so I'm guessing the bend was caused by the weather change. I was very dissappointed, and sicne I only got 1 deck, it's depressing.

Anyway, any reasons WHY this occured?

PS. How come only the aces have 4 corners of pips, whereas the rest of the cards only have the tope left and bottom right?

Actually, in the beginning I would have agreed.

But after using them today, they have been perfect for cuts, aerials etc.

Just not good for fans.

Yeah, Im took a little while before they felt great. You just have to wear them in, like new shoes.

If the cards were warped from the humidity, it's no wonder they handle badly... If you have a card clip, try to fix them. You can also put them under something heavy for a while...

Other than that, I can't imagine why you're surprised. Wynns are very far from the best cards in the world. The fan horribly and the Tech-art pips (4 on the Aces) are disgusting. They're good for cuts, though...

Yeah mine had a bend in it when I got em. Just play with them a bit, shuffle, cuts and stuff and they will get normal.

Mine were bent so bad, and i live in cold Canada
it had a downward bend toward face and the ends where bend towards the back... so bad...

But the are very nice for cuts and aerials

To me they look burgandy-darkish which looks so much better than these mud browns i am looking at in front of me lol....

If the wynns were really that color it would be SWEEEEEET

I'm still using the first deck I opened way back in November. 5 to go.

My brown deck from the first release is still alive and kicking. I still have 6 browns to go and none of them are bent at all. They fanned pretty good out of the box but that went away after a couple of weeks of use. I kind of like the art of the cards but to each his own. Sorry some of you are having a bad experience with them because they have been great for me for both magic and flourishing.

im very disapointed of buying my wynns, they didnt fan as good as I think they will, For cuts an Floursih they are great, but what i hate the most was that they are Jumbo index! i hate them. Lol

I collect cards, especially canceled casino decks. Many casino decks have aces, face cards and 10s with extra markings. I've seen half-octagons, corporate logos and even apples: The New York New York casino's decks use apples instead of hearts. My guess is it helps with security. It's a little bit of added protection against fraud and are more visible from a distance.

As far as the brown Wynns go, I was underwhelmed with their fanning. But it has been much more durable than I expected. The different back is a nice twist; I've even roped some casino-related patter around it. As for the jumbo indexes, they help make color changes more startling for audiences.

Well it was probably caused by the humidity. As for the aces maybe it was misprinted or something. Bad luck man.

Those strange pips are there because your Wynns are blackjack cards. All aces have four indexes, and indexes of tens, jacks, gueens and kings are a little lower than those of other cards. This allows blackjack dealer to quickly see how good hand is from distance.

i hate wynns (red ones). I hurt my thumb springing them. They're WAY too stiff.

i had the same bending issue, but the card clip fixes it.

also, work in the cards, they're very rigid out of the box (which is usually a sign of dryness)

I'm assuming they were printed or stored in really dry conditions (hence the rigidity), and when you take them out, they suck moisture out of the air quickly and unevenly at first (causing warping).

Seriously, keep them in a clip and work them in, they do get better.

I bought 12 of those brown wynns, and so far they're going pretty good. I've only opened one of them, but they weren't warped or anything like that.
As for the aces having 4 A's in the corner, I think that would just be how the card was designed.
