DIY Rose from Cards
Lalita Haritaipan
Have you ever wanted to create something special for someone? Roses made from playing cards are the perfect gifts from magicians. They are beautiful, unique, and magical. Best if you use your magic routines to present this gift to someone you love.
This 15 minutes tutorial covers everything you need to know about how to make a rose from playing cards. The making of the rose is not difficult. I'm sure if you follow my instructions, you will be able to make your own rose beautifully.
The roses can be used in your magic performances in various ways. For example, rose production, a prediction that appears later to be the petal of the rose, floating rose, and unlimited possibilities that you can think of.
This tutorial doesn't include any magic trick instructions.

i'm no good at arts and craft, but these instructions are nice and clear for a maths/science guy like me to follow. Used some geeky cards from a game my GF used to play to make a special Valentines Day gift. Really pleased with the results :)
UK • Feb 13th, 2016The construction is really well taught, and the result looks beautiful. You can either use those special roses to perform magic or to offer your girlfriend!
Paris • Nov 29th, 2013I've used up about 100 old decks of cards making these, it's that fantastic! It could've done with being a bit cheaper, but the tutorial is very in-depth.
United Kingdom • May 9th, 2013Very good tutorial, and the construction is simple. Good job.
France • Apr 9th, 2013Beautifully done! Great detail! Thanks for sharing this!
New York • Mar 6th, 2013I bought this for Valentine's day and loved it :) Although it's not magic it's the perfect gift from a magician and it could be used an ACR :)
United Kingdom • Feb 17th, 2013Took a couple to get the feel, but after a while I was blowing through the folds and taping. It may not be magic, but I think this is a fine place for it and I really enjoyed making these.
Virginia • Feb 14th, 2013Amazing instruction! I'm amazed at how well the first one came out and they will only get better with time.
I'm totaly going to use this as a chosen card to rose.
Florida • Feb 12th, 2013A great way to solve the everlasting dilemma of what to do with old cards.
London • Feb 12th, 2013i have made up a bunch of these for valentines day for my gf! however these could make an amazing prediction or mentalizm effect as well. Think if you were to keep one of these on you at all times and preform the invisable deck or something. Then when someone someday names the card you made it out of.... BAM!!! Best trick ever!!!
Michigan • Feb 10th, 2013I don't write a lot of reviews here, but this video deserves one. The rose is SO nice. The instructional video is very good, the teaching is clear and the result, jaw-dropping. Not difficult to do at all and will amaze everyone. I highly recommend it! Congratulations, Lalita ;)

Canada • Jan 12th, 2013Combined with a good force and some cold reading, this could make a very powerful piece of emotional magic.

Las Vegas • Jan 12th, 2013This is a really really nice idea. Great job!
Victoria • Jan 12th, 2013I really like the idea, however I believe that the item is overpriced and not so magic related. There are other ways to spend your money on great tricks.
Sydney • Jan 12th, 2013This is the best and most unique tutorial I have seen. I make stuff out of cards, but this takes the art of playing card sculpting to a whole new level. The instructions are easy to follow, they cover everything you need to know about making the roses, and also include ideas for variations and such.
I would give this 13 stars, hands down. I recommend this to anyone and everyone, and hope you learn and enjoy it as much as I have.
