I'm going to answer your question with another question: What went right with Phenomenon?
I liked Phenomenon. It could have been better, but it wasn't a bad show. I enjoyed it.

This sounds idiotic to me.
I smell exposure.
Anthony Bass
It's in writing. No sleight, method, or gimmick will be knowingly exposed on the air. To do otherwise would be grounds for a lawsuit and possibly confiscation of the tapes.
Don't be so cynical.
Not PURPOSEFUL exposure. Kim Wyatt? Dude, you cannot honestly tell me that she's not gonna flash. Come on...
I'm doing real research on this topic, scouring news sites, the blogosphere, and any other place I can mine for information. I've dug up information on the confirmed names attached to this project. I've watched performances from people I know are going to be in this, magician and celebrity alike. And I already have a basic knowledge of videography and television production.
You... from what I can tell are going by a shallow stereotype.
One of us is making a colossal fool of himself here. I'll give you a hint: it ain't me.
Oh quit your crying. If you're so thin-skinned that you blow up at me for that, I can only imagine how you react to getting a real heckler in performance.
Seriously, I can almost guarantee I've done more research on this than you have. Give me one good reason I should believe you aren't talking out of your *ss?
Ok guys, I think we've had enough bickering. If we can't discuss magic without getting into an argument then this thread will probably be closed by a mod.
I always enjoy watching magic on tv, and am looking forward to the show.
Let's get back to the magic.

Crying? Hardly. A real heckler? I've had plenty. And none of them have called me a "colossal fool".
And yeah, you've definitely done more research than me, because honestly, I could care less about a few celebrities performing magic, as long as they're good, and don't eff up. The show still has my support, I'm just skeptical of a good outcome.
And to your last point, it's impossible to talk out of anywhere but your mouth.
Steerpike,
Unless you want to provide your "proof" and research, you can't make any claims either.
How is not foolish to assume a person is automatically going to screw up? I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Hell, it's why I still occassionally speak in Criss Angel's defense, if in nothing other than the perspective of a professional.
A skeptic demands to be proven wrong.
That's why I do the research. This is going to be a hot button issue in the coming months, so I want to make sure I have the facts. I want to know what I'm talking about when it comes time to say something.
To address your problem, Kim Wylde has stated herself that she loves magic and was over the moon about this show. She took it very seriously and is encouraging her fans to support magic as well.
Furthermore, this show is already in the can. It's not being done live like Phenomenon was. Therefore, editors can find points where the camera accidentally picked up a flashed move and through the miracle of editing correct it. What do you think David Blaine has been doing for years?
Please tell me that was just a bland attempt at being glib.
If you want the links, just ask for them.
Dude, are you ever gonna stop talking crap, or is it just part of your everyday life?
Sarcasm is one of the many services I provide.
I answered your concerns with what I know. Does that satisfy you? Yes or no.
Please stop...
