What would you recommend for someone just getting to coin magic ... ? I'm a complete newbie and know nothing about it. I'm more of a card guy ... ;)

Sick by Ponta the Smith, but it won't get you far...

Or
In the beggining they were coins - Jay Noblezuada
3 Fry - Chris Kenner (here on T11, 1 on 1)
And all the classic book like Modern Coin Magic ...

Have fun :p

Just get the book modern coin magic by Bobo. I myself am not a great coin man because the coin of my country are small, but i can pull off a couple of vanishes. Also learn the classic coin matrix it is a bigger stunner than the complex routines, and also david blaine did it on him show.

Depends on how much you want to spend.

But the top three would have to be;
Bobo's Modern Coin Magic
Michael Ammar's Easy to Master Coin Magic DVD.
Or probably the best for ease of learning and the material covered.
David Roth's Expert Coin Magic Made Easy.

Honestly, don't jump into anything extensive... especially not Sick by Ponta the Smith. Don't do that.

I agree with Scott, get Bobo's book. Roth tapes wouldn't be bad, but I highly suggest Modern Coin Magic by Bobo and the accompanying DVD by Ben Salinas of the same na,e.

i'm in the same boat as Slicke, i have no idea where to start. i've tried to get into coin magic before and,

failed miserably. i tried, the following things, joshua jays Magic: the complete course,

sankeys best coin magic, (i now realize that was a stupid move it was too advanced)

and after the dramatic failure in sankeys, i gave up. so "Help"
